How do I know if the backups I make are killing my ps2 laser? I'm currently using Taiyo Yuden Dvd-R's to burn them, and they work great, but on some games with dailogue sequences, i can hear the ps2 laser moving back and forth alot, is that okay and am I worrying over nothing?

You might need to clean it if it's making noise or lube the track that the laser is on. Usually fixes the problem for me. I usually do this almost once a week, since my PS2 is a piece of crap.

that is top notch media you use so your laser should be
just fine. It is cheap-o media that will cause you problems.
Taiyo Yuden is one of the very best there is.

i use ritek G05 as far as i know thats all there called.
anyone know if there good media as they work fine on my ps2's

i only use Verbatim +r Lightscribe discs,i cant find any DVD-R,
