By looking at the folder the dvd is in..........I have got the actual DVD without it being a iso you know BUP IFO VOB files. How do I go about burning that?

Are those Files on your hard drive?

Is it a DVD backup done using DVD Shrink?, DVD Decrypter?

If the files are on your hard drive, I would recommend using Nero and create a new compilation for "DVD Video". This will create two folders for you DVD, an "Audio TS" and "Video TS" Drag all those DVD files (in Nero) to the "Video TS" folder. Leave the Audio TS folder empty.

If the files fit on the disc, you can click on "burn current compilation". Most default options should be okay here. You might want to change the "volume Label" to whatever or the name of the movie, and set the Burning speed to 4x if you are using a 8x max Blank DVD.

Go here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/imgtoo...
and get IMGTOOL. It will take dvd folders and make them ISO file then you can use something like DVD Decrypter to burn image.

All the files we're on the hard disk yeah. I'll come back to this thread in the morning and have a good look at it but you guys seem to be pointing me on the right track. Just hope Nero doesn't start giving me the dvd not playing issues I've had recently.

if Nero gives you any grief....

...then provide the LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT

post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.

You can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"

It's NOT Nero's giving me issues burning dvd's as such........just with the new version in particulair I have problems playing proper original dvd's using windvd and powerdvd which is very bizzare. Had to remove Nero to be able to watch them again which I find puzzling.

You need a program that converts .AVI to .VOB or some movie file like that... there is a whole guide here.. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/avi_to_dvd_avi2dvd.cfm

You need special progs though. They are listed on there.
