Pioneer, LiteOn, or Plextor

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

Never heard of em. I'd go with one of the DVD Burners mentioned already. You can pick up the BenQ 1640 for around $40. I've talked to multiple people who own one, and they all love their's.

i have used a few dvd burners to burn my games, and they all work great:

Pioneer A07
LG 8x
LG 16x DL
BENQ 16x DL

all out these, i like the pioneer the best. but to me i dont think the burner makes a difference, its the actuall media.

u can get the most expensive one, or best brand, you will have a crappy burn.

so my recommendation is, purchase any burner you like, and get a good media, i recommend RiDATA/Ritek

Sony DRU series
They are great burners. But a bit more pricey than some
of the other brands mentioned.
