You have to buy a laser for your PS2 version.

I remember a couple years back where i saw this one guy buy 5 lasers and installed them on a cd changer and connected it to his PS2. I've searched and searched for it and i can't find it.

Man that was so freaking cool. I wonder if it was real and what lenses he used if he did. I always wanted to steal the mechanism from a car stereo and install it on a ps2 keeping the guides from the laser from the original drive. I just need to get a little better in my solidering and I'll give it a try.
