Which chip is best suited towards a v7 ps2

Just wondering which chip is best or what would you reccomend for my ps2 v7?

I need a chip that is ideal for online play

DMS4 Pro or Matrix Infinity are the best 2 chips
both have free flash upgrades which means when they release
new features a simple download, burn to CD, play in PS2
process is needed and you can update the chips features.
I have a DMS4 Pro in my slim and had one put in my V5
worked great on both.
I do not play online so i can not help you there.

I have heard two things but can not confirm either.

1. was told the chip HAD to be disabled to play online meaning you would need swap magic and an aftermarket flip top too.

2. was told that was not true that most game sites do not detect
the chip and you can play online fine with all games other than
Socom3

and of course all back up games have to be patched for
online play for them to work.

thx for the info much appreciated. Does any1 know which chip is preferably better for online play or if it is even possible to play backups online w/o using the swap disk method.

i wish i knew for sure, i will have to try it out
i though the answer for online with a chip was a big NO
but one member here told me that he has one and plays online
all the time and just Socom3 will not work.
but you will have to patch all back ups for online play, chip
or no chip
