tsquare43- For whatever it maybe worth usually when they don't mention speed it's normally 8 X if they are higher speed like 16x that is a selling point ( mo'money !) so they would probably mention that! sometimes with the lower speeds too like 2X or 2.4x for stand alone dvd recorders! I never claimed to be a genius or that all of this is an absolute but it generally is like that around here at the major chains OD bestbuy , circuit city ect! Peace & happy burning!

Those Office Depot Maxell discs are Ritek R03 which is the same as the Office Depot branded discs that were on sale last week 100 for $25

My son and I both burn a fair number of movies and when I buy them on sale, I usually split them with him. I don't have nearly the quantity that some of these people do. Right now, I have 7 50-packs or 350 blanks. This should hold both of us for a few months. But, shhhhhh! My wife doesn't know I have all of these!
