New to PS2 modding, but have modded many xbox's but they seem to be easier. K heres the deal i just want to put a HDD in my PS2 i am going ot get this chip DMS4 E.Z.I. Pro or Lite wondering what i would have to do to get the HDD to work with out getting Hd/advanced or the other one. Any help would be great thnx.

The E.Z.I is a solderless solution, but you need to clip it on properly or you can still cause damage to the console on first boot if something is bridged.
If you have modded a xbox, you should know in comparison to the PS2 it is nothing, xbox solder points are all quite big and easy to solder, and there are only around 8-12 wires to solder at the max most of the time. But with the PS2 it can be up to 20, but if you can solder the small points, then it isnt to difficult.
If you do chip it you can just download the hd loader program, burn it, and use it.
