When bewitched was released I could'nt burn it. I came to this forum and read. I took somebodies advice and downloaded AnyDVD. It didn't seem to do anything. So I deleated it. Today I tried to burn Stealth and had the same problem. So I came here again and read and again downloaded AnyDVD. I started by going through the DVDDecrypter first. After a hour or so of failing I deleated all the incompleat files of stealth from the decrypter and then I went to DVD Shrink. IT WORKED Was it the AnyDVD that allowed it to burn? I don't know. Anyhow I Now have 1 day left of the free trial time. Should I order it. I , like many others ,don't like to pay for something when I can get it for free. So my question is. Do you fellow burners think that it was the anyDVD that allowed me to burn a copy of Stealth and is there anything out there that will do the same for free. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Rick

I always decrypt with DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background, then I use DVD Shrink. I would highly advise you to purchase AnyDVD because Decrypter, and DVD Shrink are no longer being updated.

@Rick6
IMO yes AnyDVD is worth it. I used it w/ Clone to do Bewitched. AnyDVD stays on top of the copy protections. Haven't tried Stealth yet but here's a link to a thread on it:

A free prog like decrypter is DVD Fab decrypter - is should handle both of these discs + it's still being updated. Here's link to dl:

I ran Stealth through DVDFab then went to DVD shink. I get "DVDshrink incountered an error and can not continue" It can not find the file .Then I started looking for it and I couldn't find it either. It's not in the DVDFab temp file folder. I don't know where it went It's like stealth man ,it disappeared.

IT worked. I used DVDFab and was able to copy Stealth. The problem I was haveing earlier was that I could'nt find the file. Turns out it was sent to my documents. Don't know why.Any how I've had fun even if it does kinda seem like I've been talking to my self on these last few threads. Maybe you guy are all in bed by this time.

Talking to ones self is often a good method to learn something new. It helps to think through the process.

My recommendation is yes to AnyDVD.

Using only Shrink to decode and backup, and DVD Decrypter to burn, I have never had a problem backing up any of the "difficult" movies mentioned on here...not once. I'm becoming more convinced that those having problems, do indeed have a disk that is bad in some manner. I have nothing else running in background, Shrink only. I even loaded DVD FAB on my computer anticipating the need to use it occasionally, after hearing some of the "difficult" movies horror stories. I've yet to need it. roger

I have no doubt that AnyDVD is the better one to get , but it does cost mony.Since DVDFab is free so I think I'll stick with that for now for as long as it works. I do have one question though. Is there away to change the target settings so it doesn't end up in my documents. I tried to change it already but didn't have any luck.I'm guessing this free version doesn't give you all that many options.
Thanks.

I do the same thing as Eric does, except use CloneDVD2 occasionally. Works like a charm, and backs up everything.

You can put the target where ever you want it by clicking on the oval on the left side of target. I set the target to my E:/ hdd but you can open a new folder anywhere and select it. I highly recommend AnyDVD and you can get it now at $10 off as an AD member. There's a link in the AD news letter. You have to type in a code to get the discount.

I create a folder in my documents that is "DVD_Burns" and inside that folder I create a folder with the movie title such as "Underworld"

The Files from ripping go inside that as well as the ISO created in shrink.

When I am done burning I delete the folder with the movie title and start fresh.

DVD Decrytper and Shrink are no longer being updated, but you can rip any movie using any version of DVD Decrypter that is version 3.1.0.0 or higher and Shrink will always accept movies after you fix the VOB Navigation with IFOEdit.

I like DVD Decrypter the most out of all of the programs because you can do so much with it. Also, it automatically creates the movie folder and VIDEO_TS folder, though with the Sony movies, they are always called "DVD_VIDEO".

I just did Bewitched. Any Dvd running in the background, put movie in, DVD Shrink analyzed it. I then reauthored it, then encoded it and then burned with DVD Decrypter. Worked like a charm.

I was so ugly when I was a kid, my parents used to take me everywhere just so they wouldn't have to kiss me goodbye.
