I used DVD Shrink to encode and I used DVD Decrypter to burn it. And it says it was successful but the DVD won't play in my DVD player or even the DVD drive on my computer that I used to make the DVD. And my DVD drive won't even recognize that there's anything on the DVD. Has anyone else had this problem or know what to do? Thanks.

That's a normal issue on some stand alone players. Dvd backups can be a pain when you play them on some of the picky stand alone players/ps2s/x-boxs/and other pc drives. It's all about compatability.Backup cds usually play anywhere, not so with dvd backups.
We need all those questions answered that 9mmruger1 asked.Lots of things will cause these no disc inserted errors. Some burners have the bitsetting capability to booktype the plus format to dvd-rom,thus making them more compatable on more standalones. You're burner model will tell us that.
My first adempt to backing up a dvd.
Backed up Cowboy Bebop Remix Session 1.
I used DVD Shrink to back up the files on my computer then put in a Staples Brand DVD+R in my dvd burner and burnt a copy. I burnt it at 2x because slower seems to be better when burning. So after the 30min wait or so I went to my Regular Apex Dvd Player in my living room. I know its a cheaply made dvd player but I have had it for 2 years and haven't had a problem with it since.
So I insert the disc and it comes up saying "NO DISC" so next I decide to try to put it into my modded x-box. I put it in and on the dashboard it says that there is video. I click to play it, but it doesnt work. So my last plan was to use the DvD RegionX player i put on my modded x-box. I go to that and the dvd works fine!
So it works with the DVD RegionX player, but it doesnt work anywhere else, not even in my pc dvd drives...
So im wondering if the problem is that I used a DVD+R and I should have used a diffrent kind like -R or soemthing. Or maybe using a cheap staples brand to burn a dvd was a bad idea.
help me out!

That's the first thing to rule out. Staple's brand name media is usually crappola! Majority of the store brand media like staple's/compusa/ are usually total crap. You may get lucky with a certain format or size pack, but odds are you'll get cmags/moser bauer/lead-data/and some other pure crap manufacturers. That's the first thing to change. The media quality has to be ruled out. Some stand alones can really pick apart the low quality media, making them very difficult for them to play.
Use dvd decrypter and find the MID code of that staples +r media and post back that code.If you have nero, use infotool. Here's a free program that'll give you the:MID code,dvd-rw model#,and firmware version:

Again,we need the burner's brand name and model#. Maybe you can take advatage of its booktyping ability if it is capable of it.You've got 3 stand alones,so booktyping may do the trick?
