don't worry, put a bib on right when i clicked that link to see the YUDEN000T03 printables :)
they MIGHT be avail. come X-mas time here in America, however, i have heard NOTHING conclusive about the release date from my TY rep. :) but TY assures me that they will be shipping them out to various online retailers early next year...2006...so, if they introduce it early, ALL THE BETTER...and imma have a good Christmas~ :)

I am using the following with great results, not in any order, whatever I get on sale (all +R format inc. some +RW):
Ritek Ridata
Fuji (made in Japan = TY)(BJ's just had a sale 50pk for 9.99)
Verbatim
BJ's sale was my greatest sale so far, otherwise I catch a sale on newegg.com on the Ritek/Ridata with free shipping.

Hi Fellow Afterdawns,
I used to use +R DVD Blanks, but I then came across "Readability" problem ... I guess I could not play back one of my burned DVD+R in my friends DVD or PC Player, can't remember. Since then I have been using ONLY DVD-Rs.
Q1: Can anyone Please tell me if I making a mistake NOT using DVD+R?
Q2: I am happy with DVD-Rs, but I notice that some of the posts here say they would only use DVD+Rs - ANY Special Reasons for that?
THANKS A LOT!

reason behind that is most burners can booktype those to dvd rom...
commercially pressed dvds are dvd rom.. that simply means that it will read in pretty much all players...

Well for your first question. You are not making a mistake, if DVD-R works best for you then that's the way to go. You'll get the best results with HQ media with the -R format.
For your second question. DVD+R format has some technical advantages over -R, but posed a compatibility problem in the beginning. Until recently, bit setting has made +R much more popular. Bit setting allows you to make the disc read as a DVD-ROM. By using this, you would be able to play this disc in a player that will not read +R discs.
If you cant dazzle them with brillance, then baffle them with bullshit...

@xtlee,
by "HQ" i REALLY hope you mean "high quality" in general and NOT the brand "HQ" that produces absolute TRASH/CRAP for discs when it comes to media~ :) LOL
HQ DVD-R 4.7GB LONGTEN 001. 4x (be a "LONGTIME" before i ever use this crap)
HQ DVD-R 4.7GB MUST 003.... 8x (this crap "MUST" be kidding me)
HQ DVD-R 4.7GB VDSPMSAB 01. 4x (with a media code like that, why don't they just have a little kid just randomly punch codes onto the keyboard, like 23949238sdlkslfkj439u0r9wurrn4h LOL)
this is some of the crappiest media out there RIGHT NOW, so, i really hope by "HQ" you meant high quality, as opposed to "HQ" media (meaning the brand) :)
