downloading new psp wallpapers

hello,i have download some psp wallpapers but they are all in .jpeg format, the tutorial that i read says that they must be in .bmp format but every wallpaper i download is jpeg. do i just need to renmae them as xx.bmp or what do i do, cheers

Ok. I am not a psp person but I know in the computer world, YES you would need to rename the file with a bmp extension to use it as a wallpaper.
So I would think this would be the same as here in the psp world.

What firmware are you using? If you have a 2.0 or higher then just select whatever image you have on your psp regardless of filetype and set it as the desktop. If you are like me and have a 1.5, then you need to use something like pspPersonalize and switch in the image you want for the system desktops and then select the month that corresponds with the desktop you want. As for them being bmp, simply open the file in mspaint or something and save-as bmp. Hope that helps.

2.0 needs 3000something x 2000something pixels
1.5 PSPersonalise needs 370x150 or somehting pixels

If PSPPersonalise or PSPSet uses larger, itll screw up the icons. only 370x150, but will look pixelated/blurry sometimes.

Or just convert it to bmp and resize it using ACDSee!
