Today is Remembrance Day in the world, we remember all those who fought in the wars for their countries. All war veterans around the world would greatly appreciate a momment of silence at 11:00 AM...

In Canada we also wear a poppies in honor of them, thank you.

Today During an assembly we had at 8:30-9:15 in honor of war veterans. There was a couple of dope headed talking and making nouses the whole time. Man were they annoying and disrespectful!!!

I pledge allegiance to the Cheese Clan,
and to all those who made it true,
a group of people for which it stands,
one clan under any god,individually,
with chunky cheese curds and cheese nips for all.

Well the mayor of Montreal, Genard Tremblay (newly elected) said he was too busy, like he normally is, and couldn't come to an official Quebec Veteran Ceremony. If he had an ounce of respect or brains, he would have come.

He is such an arrogant a*s...

What war was CAN? I can't seem to remember any war where they had a big role, or even considerable.

I didn't mean this to be a joke, it was an honest question but reading it I can't help but laugh. lol. Sry though.

during ww2, canada was the training center for all commonwealth flight crews. canada had the 4 largest navy at the end of that war. of the 5 beaches in normandy, canada had juno whereas the british had gold & sword & the americans had omaha & utah. canada was also the furthest inland at the end of the 1st day of the invasion. during ww1, canada took vimy ridge with a lot less casualties than the british/french 100,000. canadian troops where among the 1st to be gassed by the germans during ww1 but held their ground compared to british & french who fled.

Good to know...

Why don't you ever hear about CAN then? In history books and movies and even games? You hear about the brits. the Americans, even the french. CAN is to the Allies as italy was to the Axis, they were just overshadowed I guess. :(

Take a look in the histories of world war1 ww 2, Korea. Canadians and Australinas were always the first to come to the aid of the oppressed nations involved. America only came into these wars when directly threatened or when it was In the US's best interests. I knew that poor Americans don't know their Geography, but I guess we will have to add History as well. john51

I actually went their on a school trip 4 years ago. It's exactly as you would see it on tv. Very dark, barely any light, small stinking tunnels.

the us entered ww1 in 1917 only because of an intercepted agreement between germany & mexico if mexico invaded the us & can keep new mexico & a few other southern states. the us entered ww2 with the attack by the japanese on pearl harbor dec 7 1941. the us would have only have fought the japanese if hitler hadn't declared war against the states.
