Try ripping the disc with dvd decrypter version 3.5.4.0 http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_... or dvdfab decrypter version 2.9.5.2 http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvdf... and if those don't work try the free trial of anydvd version 5.5.1.1 http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/anyd... running in the background.

If you still have problems try cleaning the disc and if that doesn't work then you probably have a bad press. I have yet to come across a dvd that I couldn't back up useing one of these proggy's to rip.

Thanks GlueEater,

Seemed like we kept seeing the same problem over and over and they were all related to ripping.

It happens everytime there's a new movie out w/ a new encryption. Bewitched, stealth, hitch, etc. I swear I saw someone who asked for help w/ Hitch and came back a few months later and asked for help w/ bewitched. lol. It's pretty much the same answer, I considering just typing out a well thought out response and saving it in notepad so I can just copy and paste... Of course it's easier to just not reply. :(

each time a new film appears in the threads, ie Hitch etc. i subscribe to get a heads up, then i usually quickly regret it, Bewitched threads have been particulary 'trying' so i hold out for a while then unsubscribe. the best thing is though, that as we tend to get most stuff here in UK later than everywhere else, it's all old news and the good ppl of the US have gone thru all the 42 million iterations of how to deal with whichever 'strains' of encryptions are around

lmao I thought of the same thing. Seems easier to post a link in AD if the movie is already covered.

to burn or not to burn that is the question

Still seeing a lot of the same problems so thought a bump was appropriate. AnyDVD has been updated now to 5.5.4.1
