It's not personal, and I understand what mods go through, not really though. I don't know any of these guys personally. It's just a list of who has helped you out the most or you think is the most knowledgable. It's not about friends or anything.

I am a mod on a couple much smaller forums, and I am kept very busy.
My hat is off to all the mods on this humongous forum.At times it must really get crazy....props to each and every mod here on aD.I wouldn't want your job.

We all have our own outlook on threads like these.Its not necessarily bullshit, but its maybe time to consider if these posts are going to benefit the overall population of the forum or if they are going to just cause a big stink.All the members from Admin down contribute a heap of infomation and there is no one person who is better than some one else.Popular well thats another thing.We all know who's going to win that contest (neph) lol.
I see my name mentioned as well.Well you guys are asleep when i post as Australia is on a different time to most other people, as to whether i deserve to be an addict thats entirely in the hands of dRD and the admin.

I'M NOT DISPUTING YOU, currently its 8.15 pm in the evening.The bit i am disputing is that i actually keep in touch with a few people on this site.Via Skype, msn even the phone.We trade dvds, have a chat even email each other.O i even mod with some off them on another site
I may not know them face to face but i still call them friends.

i dont think anyone is really here to win a popularity contest. we do it because we enjoy it, nothing more. there are quite a few people that i've known for years that i now consider family, especially those in the IRC channel. I'm not saying that nobody makes friends on here, we do know each other to some extent. maybe i've just become more removed since the auto promote thingy went into effect because i knew what was going to happen, and it has. I used to take the word of a senior or addict without giving it a second thought, but not anymore. I've banned seniors, which to me is still shocking when i have to do it. so i still have to stay a bit in the shadows and do my job, which keeps me from getting on real friendly terms with anyone, surely if i did i'd be accused of taking sides at some point. the ones i do speak to regularly know who they are, and we'll leave it at that. i guess my point behind this sleep-deprived rant is these type of threads do cause problems. maybe not now, not tomorrow, but sooner or later they always come up somewhere with someone whining that they didn't make "joe_user's" list.
I'll tell you what, we'll have a couple new mods here pretty soon i think, so everyone better just be nice to everyone else, you never know, the guy you just told to go to hell just might have a ban button tomorrow ;)
