Hi everyone! I have tried just about everything I can think of on Lords of Dogtown - clone, nero, shrink, platinum, decryptor, anydvd, dfab...nothing I have will grab it... any ideas? Also, my best friend owns a video store...he is trying to backup Stealth, which releases Tuesday. He has tried shrink, platinum, and dfab, to no avail. Another friend is emailing him decryptor to see if that will work. These are both Sony pictures. They are getting harder and harder for me to burn... any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Send me a PM with your e-mail and I will send you a DVD Decrypter Guide on burning the newer movies. I have only tested the method as far as Bewitched, but I was using a DVD Decrypter version that is over 3 years old for the testing (meaning no ARccOS support). The newest DVD Decrypter (also tested with this method) works better since it has support for more protections and has had bugs fixed.

If you do not feel like reading through the guide, search through posts related to Bewitched, Madagascar, Stealth, and Lords of Dogtown. I have posted the method many times and I do not feel like writing it again as it is sort of long.

I am sorry for asking it with you already having posted the answer. I am new to the forum stuff, and I am bound and determined not to let a movie beat me. My email is crazymomxxxxxxxxxxx.net. Thanks so much for your help.

Please edit out your e-mail. I already have it on my clipboard so I will e-mail you the guide shortly. I meant to send a private message with the e-mail.

Guide sent.

My e-mail is Lord_Heinrich_xx_xxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com. The x's were added to replace text to keep my e-mail sort of private. If your inbox diplays the senders name, it will be something written in German and the attached file is "ripping guide.pdf".

Also, again, do not forget to edit out your e-mail from your post.

And if you have any questions or problems, just let me know. There is a small chance that I will get Stealth and if I do, I will just send a movie specific guide your way.

i remember the problem with lord's of dogtown. i had problems too when i tried to burn it with shrink and DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD in the background. it would usually freeze when shrink tries to analyze it. but the solution that worked for me was...the newest version of AnyDVD in the background. i think the version is 5.4.4.1 then let DVD FABdecrypter express do the rest of the work. it worked fine for me. made a perfect exact copy of dogtown. now..i hope i dont have any problems with Stealth when i get it on tuesday. thanks for the heads up with stealth

Just to correct the AnyDVD version number, it is 5.5.1.1, but who knows, that may change any day, you know how crazy those Slysoft people are!!!

As for Stealth, it seams like the current AnyDVD is handling it fine, but some people are having problems and there always will be some problems.

So far, JGould2 has gotten most of Stealth ripped following a guide I posted. Just has to fix a few loose ends dealing with the previews. It seems like it will work though based on the posts I have read.

As for myself I only back up the movie itself...I had no prob with Lords of Dogtown and Stealth with latest AnyDVD (trial) and DVD Shrink. I went straight to reauthor, opened the dvd, selected the main title,(it analyzed flawlessly), set my default streams and backed it up without a hitch right onto a blank after compressing and such.

I am now able to confirm that the guide I posted works for Stealth as well. I used Decrypter Version 3.1.0.0 just like for Resident Evil: Apocalypse and it worked. I posted a more newbie friendly guide here:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260734

This means that it will also work for Lords of Dogtown.

i had no problems burning Stealth using the recent version of AnyDVD (5.5.1.1) in the background. encoding it with DVD Shrink and burning it with DVD Decrypter (3.5.2.0). i got a perfect copy. but like before, that method worked for me but might not for you.
