Disc ID Utility on Slimlines

Hi, I got my pstwo some while ago and tried to copy games to play online back then. Haven't played it much since. Anyway back then the Disc ID Utility used for getting the DNAS code only worked on the older versions of the PS2 and not the slimline.

I have searched, but crikey theres alot of posts on here with the word slimline v12 DNAS online etc....

So I was just wondering if this has been resolved and whether the Disc ID Utility has been updated so that it works on the slimline? Or whether some other way of doing it is possible?

to boot the disc id utility on the slimline ps2 you will still need the swap magic discs and the flip top tool. but most online games will have their dnas posted on forums such as this and you wont need the disc id utility
