I got a CD image instead of a normal ISO when I extracted the winrar file. Can I still just burn this on a dvd as an image of do I need to do something else with the cm image first?

What's the size of this image file? what's the extension eg something.iso?

select the file and right click on it and it will show the properties, what does it open with?

the size is 2.1 GB and it's a cd image file. is sais it opens with winIso. But i don't know if I can just burn this on a dvd.

You never did say what the extension is... but if it's 2.1Gbs then i'd say it's ok to burn the iso onto dvd with Nero or DVD Decrypter same as usual.

well, it's not an ISO. the file is a cd image or are those the same?
it has no extension.

Every file has an extension... yours is just hidden.

to make it visible go to the folder that the file is in... click on tools.. go to folder options... hit the view tab... then look for a checkbox that has "hide extensions for known file type" and UNcheck it.

Then it'll tell you what the extension is.

The only reason it was saying cd image is because you have a program associated with the .iso file type.. most likely roxio or something.
Anyway, glad it worked for you
