hey i got my ps2 chipped ages go but no i just went on it today too play a pirate dvd it didnt work so i tryed a real dvd it didnt work to can some1 plz help me on wat too do.

A ps2 should play dvd movies whether it's chipped or not.. the only difference would be if the dvd movie was a different region to your own, then you would need either a hardware or software mod to play it.. which you have got. So basically yes it should play the movie.. unless it's in divx/mpeg4 or something. But you say you tried an original disc too, so my guess would be that there's something up with your ps2 laser... does it still play ps2 games ok?

Ok, don't see what's funny about it though... you didn't mention whether it played games ok before I asked, LOL.

Maybe the modchip needs switching off to play movies then... I don't know. Seems weird that it would play games but not movies when a store bought ps2 will play movies.. so that's the only thing I can think of that your chip must not be auto detecting the movies. so try switching off the chip and then inserting the movie{s}

You would normally get instructions with your chip telling you all the settings. check on the place where you got it from and see if there's instructions.

well do a search for the kind of chip you have then to see if another site has got the info on settings and how to turn them off/on...

Man, do a search.. i'm sure there are loads of threads on this forum about burning downloaded games. I'll help you out this time again, but we're not here to answer everything step by step when there are answers to your questions already on this forum.

The second link I gave you.. it links to another thread which explains how you extract the iso from the rar files... so read the threads in the links I gave you FULLY.

I'm not going to explain every little thing to you.. I've given you some links to thread which should be of some help to you... no-one is going to do everything for you, we come on here in our own time to try and help people... but you have to use your own initiative and search for stuff too.
