Hey i just got HDA3.0 and it says that it can take a hard drive up to 200gigs i just wanta know if i could use a 300gig and get the 300gigs outta it not just 200. ive been reading some forums some people have 200gig and some have 300gig drives so i just wanta know before i dish out the money for a 300. also another question i have a 160 maxtor drive havnt used it for a long time and i went to partition it and format it and it only sees 30 outta the 160 gigs tried hooking it up to pc and tried formating it on HDA3 but still get only 30 what happened to y other 130??? is there a way to get them back?

From what i have been reading 300gb hdd should work fine, there's a couple of 300's listed as working on hdadvance website and there a few folk with 300's on ps2hd.com. For your 160gb Maxtor check the jumper setting as it sounds like its on the one that limits it to 30gb if the settings are correct then you might have a faulty hdd.

thanks i'll check the hdd when i get back from work...DAMN UPS STORE!!! anyway i think its the drive (almost 2 years old) but who cares i'll just get a 300 and forget about it
