Can i just get games .iso's, instead of a torrent?

instead of me downloading torrents to get the game i want, which takes FOREVER, is there someplace where i can just get the games .iso file? What is the difference between the torrent and the .iso anyway? thanx

If you set up your torrent CLient correctly it shouldnt take long to download a game. Your not gonna see much diffrence between downlaoding an ISO file off a p2p client rather then off a torrent file.
Torrent files are easier to distrubute parts of the whole file at once.
But with either way you need to be patient cause both ways take time. Your getting it for free so why complaine about the time it takes to download.
Find a forum that has to do with your torrent client and search on how to make conection faster. It isnt as easy as starting a file and magicly have a full file in a few hours. You need to set up the client correctly.

I see... Well im behind a router, but ive allowed all the ports through and everything, and usually it downloads at about 20 ish kbps. Roughly how long should a ps2 game take to fully download? 1day? 2days?

Wow,20 KBs,thats really slow,i usually get like 70-100+ KBs.
Which BT client are you using.

BitComet. is that an okay client? Like i said too tho, ive forward the port for my dlink router, and for windows firewall. im using a cable internet connection. i think my bad comes from being on a wireless netowrk tho....

Yeh,i use bitcomet to,its a good program.
The wireless network is most likely your problem,i have my cable modem directly connected to my PC and i get really good speeds.

:(. thats too bad. how long does it take you to finish downloading a game, from start to finish? just wondering to see how far off it is from how long it took me.
EDIT: i was fiddling around, and i changed my upload speed from "no limit" to 50, and now i got at least 40kbps download speed:D that practically doubled my speed:DD:D:

More then likly the wirless conection is the problem. I had my computer coenected to my router wirless and got crapy speeds. So I moved my router closer to my computer and hooked it up wired and it got 3 to 4 times more the speed then when I do it wireless.
Also you did port forwording? and set your router firewall to let the ports through?

well in my defence, i shall say that my computer is only about 10 meters (33 small steps) away from the router.
and yes i forwarded all the ports thro the router and firewall.

ok, i could edit my last post, but this is good news. as i said, i changeed my upload speed to 50, which made my download speed about 40kbps. now i moved my wireless usb adapter to a usb extensions cable and REALLY extended it, and im getting close to 60 kbps:D:D thnx for helping guys.

Like I said I had lower transfer rate on torrents when i was on my wirless conection. But also it will depend on how well seeded the torrent is your trying to download. The more seeders(peers) the faster it will go. If I download a well seeded torrent I can transfer at around 100kbs to 250kbs I have had over 300kbs before.
A so so seeded torrent I can uasly get around 50 to 100kbs
a bad seeded torrent I can get 0kbs to 50kbs
So it also depends on the torrent itself.

It usually takes me anywhere bewtween 15-30 hours for me to download a file as large as a game.
Its not really much of a problem since my Comp is always on and im always connected.

ok, i downloaded torrent for BitTornado.com, just need some1 to please help me out with the whole download proccess and where to get the games from, if u got Xfire u cant get me at - badsnipaday
