Hey guru people!
I do a heap of presentations and like to put a couple of small sections of movies into them. This can be a bit awkward and I would love to source software to allow me to select and rip a portion of a movie into a Powerpoint compatable movie format that will play in a slide show. I've tried a few in the past (although it was more than a year ago I last tried) and it always seemed that either I couldn't select the portion of the film I wanted or the audio didn't match up with the video.
Are any of you learned people able to advise a piece of software that may be able to help me do this easily please?
All the best,
Simon

ok, i'd like to be able to rip small sections of dvd's too, but not knowing a thing about powerpoint presentations, i'd like to save the segments as AVI, mpg, so on, something similar. use the same prog?

Yes, ImToo is a very powerful and flexible tool. I think it still has a trial version.

Hi,
Have now tried the "Imtoo" ripper, absolutely excellent, I really love it. It saves MPEG format but I'm not sure about AVI.
All the best, Simon

Glad that you like it. ImToo can rip to AVI, so there shoudn't be any problem. I usually set video to XviD and audio to mp3 for that matter at 'output settings'. But in case you don't have many codecs to choose from, you can download and install K-Lite codec Pack (full or mega version) from this site.
Cheers!
