Okay,

Here's a bright idea if anyone thinks it can be done.

I cannot get Star Wars Battlefront 2 to work, period! Not even the original with the Modchip that I have.

I can copy and play Battlefront #1 with no problem. Never had a problem with any other games.

Is there a way to use part of Battlefront #1 to get past the copy protection checking that's being done in Battlefront #2?

Are there any experts out there that know how to do this in ISOBuster?

What part would you keep from both games?

Thanks?

I'm not sure that's what I had in mind.
I was thinking that someone could take the first part of Battlefront #1 (the part that gets you through the loading sequence) and use the other part of battlefront #2 (the actual game). Both games have similar loading sequences and takes you to a point that says "press start to continue" (I think).

Maybe it?s wishing thinking on my part.

If I'm understanding you, you are talking about copying the part of the game that validates it as a PS2 disc? This part of the game is pressed into the disc and cannot be burned. This is why we need modchips and swap magic, I assume you probably know that though, so is your problem that BF2 freezes at some point in its opening screens, or immediately your ps2 says insert valid disc?

PS2 - V4 W/Flip top, Swap Magic 3.3
Burning - Sony DRU 720A

Not the part that validates that it's a PS2 disc. I'm dealing with a system that has a modchip. My modchip will play Battlefront #1 with no problem. It will not play Battlefront #2 at all (original or backup). They did something different in Battlefront #2 that they did not do in Battlefront #1. I'm just wondering if you can use part of Battlefront #1 (that gets you through the boot up section) and the actual game part of #2? You would basically be building the game using ISOBuster (or something similar).

And to answer your question, Battlefront #2 begins to load and I get the Playstation logo to appear. After that it acts like it's loading but I soon get the "insert playstation or playstation 2 format disc" message.

Thanks!
