hello everyone i tried to make a backup of charlie and the chocolate factory yestarday and dvd shirnk worked good then dvd decrypter kicked in and i got 29% burned and it stopped. about 5 or 10 mins later the dvd burner started spinning again but nothing was burning so 15 mins went on for this and i had to leave for work and i couldnt restart the computer from the start menu but the internet worked fine so i shut it off. any answers on why that stopped in the middle of burning

why would DVD Decrypter kick in after shrink ?? it should burn fine with decrypter, then shrink, and your burning software to burn. AnyDVD is not required.

When I loaded Charlie into my dvd drive DVD Decrypter started up. Sometimes it does that automatically and i just shut it down. then i open DVD Shrink and go about backing up the movie as normal.

I had no problems backing it up.

Nothing special on the encryption of that movie. I didn't even have to activate AnyDVD. I leave AnyDVD turned off until it is absolutely necessary-like madagascar.DVD Shrink and Nero only for me on this one.

If failing in the middle of the burn,sounds like media quality/too fast burn/or maybe your dmas got thrown into pio mode.

Can you post a burn log?

What brand name/format/and speed rate is your media?
How fast did you try to burn it?
