hello,
I have read through all the discussions about backing up Stealth and I still dont know what I am doing wrong. I am new at this so of course I dont understand everything being talked about. I have DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, DVD X Copy, and I just downloaded the Cinema Craft Encoder SP (no idea how to use this). Can someone walk me step by step on how to get these move backed up. Everytime I use the Decrypter I get an error... something in my settings maybe? Please help if you can. Thanks
@mossymo....... all newbies should read this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/183136 follow the guides of BBMayo and/or Subba Pete..... they are the best! The guides will show you the way to back up your movie properly. If you still have problems please post a new thread and ask for help. Be explicit on what your problem is. Many problems can be avoided by using good media: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm the media guide in the above thread will show you what to buy.... and the price is the same for bad media as well as good media! If you stick with Taiyo Yuden (you can buy these online at places like: supermediastore.com, rima.com and other sites), Verbatim, Sony, Maxell.... you can't go wrong with those. By using the better media you can eleminating a disk problem and move on to solve other problems that might arise! you can download free programs to identify your media such as: DVDInfo Pro (www.DVDInfoPro.com), DVDIdentifier (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...) and others.
So in closing ..... read the guides, use good media (don't burn higher than 4x---will save a lot of headaches later) and happy burning! If you do run into problems later.... just ask in a NEW thread! We will help you!
