I could really use some help. I have searched repeatedly to find the much talked about "guide to rebuild battlefront." I understand the rebuild for SW BF2 is basically the same. I have ISO buster and DVD Decrypter and only want to back it up to my PS2 HD for use with either HDadvance 2.0 or HDL which is the elf MC exploit ver. 7c.
1. I have an ISO off my original SWBF2 disk
2. I have opened the ISO with ISO buster and extracted 1_01 to the desktop
3. Next,right clicked on ISO>directory tree and file info>List tree info (in txt file)>LBA,Relative path.
4. Opened up CDgenPS2. Selected Advanced>import tree file from ISObuster and I selected desktop folder 1_01 for the destination. this bring me the choice of LBA...of which there are three.
Import Respective LBA
Import LBA Order (without LBA set)
Import Respective Order by entry
One thread said to use the import LBA (no fix) which one is this?
5. I opened notepad and opened the system file in folder 1_01 and altered the file to read:
Boot2 = cdrom0:\SWBFRNT2.ELF (sometimes SWBFRNT2.ELF;1)
Ver = 1.01
VMODE = NTSC
6. Instructed to name the Vol the same as the SLUS in the main window. Mine is SLUS_212.40 I named mine that exactly. Some threads say to name it without the "." What's the correct way?
7. I named the new file and selected ISO and let the program do its thing.
8. Transfer to PS2 HD using Winhiip named to boot SWBFRNT2.ELF, choose DVD and MODE 3. Tried booting up with HDL. No luck, Black Screen of Death. This is a method below that someone wrote up for help but, I can't make it work as one or two steps leave out the exact information ie import file tree, which choice and the VOL name question. I have done research on how to get this working and I detailed what I have done so far. Please help me out by filling in some of these "missing" steps. I'm sure some of these steps are so well know that it's assumed that everyone knows what is being referenced.
1, extract 1_01
2, extract LBA relative path to same folder
3, use note pad to open system file
4, rename fist line to " BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SWBFRNT2.ELF "and save
5, open cdgen, import file tree "no fix"
6, click VOL and rename to the SCUS/SLUS file in the main window
7, click IMG and save the image
saving the image may take a while, it took about an hour for me but you will get a message when its done.
8, use winhip and open saved image,
9, make boot file "SWBFRNT2.ELF " set to dvd and click mode 3
