I open my ps2 fore the who knows how many times, and saw if i power on my ps2 my laser only lights up ones, like it flashes only ones and then it dead. i also tried adjusting the angle of the laser but no luck. Still i get on my tv set (reading disk)

Could it be that i need a new laser?

when it is reading the disk, is the laser lit, if not yes you need a new laser, double check the wires going to the laser.

My laser does not stay lit, when i power on my ps2 it flashes red and then its dead.

So it doesnt stay lit when reading a disk, have you tried with a cd and dvd?

no only tried with an origanal PS2 disk, ill try a few other and ill let you know, thanks dude.
