i suggest the 8x TYG02s over the 16x TYG03s only because i have had a LOT more experience with the 8x, the few hundred TYG03s that i used earlier this year, TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION i got a "Bad batch", were not any better than my 8x TYG02s :) this is just MY experience with 8x and 16x TYs...the choice is really yours...besides, i hope you are not intending on BURNING @16x...i would NOT recommend burning this fast...while i personally DO burn my 8x rated media TYs @8x...the few that i have done @16x ON MY OWN SETUP, did not prove to be of the "highest quality" that i have come to expect from Taiyo Yuden...so, if you want MY opinion, get the 8x TYG02s..and happy burning...

usually, the 8x will be cheaper (less expensive) than the 16x media but the QUALITY of the Taiyo Yuden is NOT better with the higher rated speeds...they ALL adhere to a strict quality control that is set forth by Taiyo Yuden, so, regardless of 4x, 8x, 16x..as long as they are GENUINE, you should be good to go~ :)

i still burn onto my 4x DVD-R TYG01s with GREAT success...just FYI~

well said Doctor Millionth poster LOL ,and congrats even thought it was blind luck couldnt have happened to a nicer guy

and the Doctor was right just get the 8x because you dont want to burn dvds at 16x anyway, there is NO quality difference between the 4x 8x or 16x, get what suits your needs the best

Hi there,

I burn everything at 2x (Even on TYG01) so why pay more for something I will not use.

I still buy DVD-R 4x Taiyo Yuden.

There's not much difference between the 4x and the 8x in price, but hey, it's money in MY pocket :)
