Hi Dela,

When I convert my avi to mpeg, the video paused at a certain frame but the sound still continued until the end of the convert process. How could I fix that?

Thanks,

Hello Dela,

I did as you suggest that using aviFix to fix bad frames, it works only on some movies. Could you please suggest me any similar tools out there that I could use.

Thanks,

Yes, I am. BTW, I am trying to upgrade my virtualdub to 1.5 version but it kept giving me an error message "Couldn't read source file "vdremote.dll"" when I cliked on install handler button of auxiliary setup user interface. Could you please help me solve the prob.
Thanks so much

There's a program from DynaPel called MotionPerfect which does a great job of removing bad frames. Better yet, if the defect is minor, it can generate inbetween frames to fill the missing space, and if it's only a frame or two you won't notice any jump in the result. However it's not free. You can find it easily by searching the web.

I have the same problem with movies like Gangs Of New York. It gets to about almost 30 mins into the movie and then i lose the picture and keep the sound. Everytime this has happened (3 movies) it gets almost to the 30 min mark. I'm starting to think it's not the movie, but Tmnpeg. Have you been able to fix that problem yet?
