just think of the concept.to watch some of todays members being able to weild the almighty ban power for at least a day.its not a far fetched idea.ive seen some members come down on people quicker than a mod.and i thought to myself,now wouldnt that be something if these members were allowed to be mods for a day.me personally,i would abuse the power and go ban people for sag($h;ts and giggles).half the forum would be gone when the mods got back the next day.but i would enjoy seeing how others would take on the task at hand.it would kinda be like having a substitute teacher.
but im sure the upper level of management at AD would cringe at the thought of letting some people be mods even for just one day.but i think it could be a good way to spice things up around here.what do you think?

Concept sounds great. I think I do a good job of telling newbies what to do etc. I could do mod for about an hour, but after then I would just get pi$$ed off with people, and that is not in the forum tone :)!
I could easily make suggestions with regards to potential mods....But you know who you are.
It could only be fun if the 'real' mods could check before the stand-in bans anyone. That way, It would be a laugh for someone to do it for the day!

i wanna see somebody be a mod and ban somebody for double posting.you know,some kind of midemeanor like that.ive never pointed it out to somone if they double post.im the type of person that would see that and say "could you repeat that again?i didnt understand you the first three times you posted that".
its just a fun way to see who gots the hair trigger around here.

i think there might actually be some training involved in being a mod? kinda like navy seals type training...XD.but really,you would need to know something about modding.do mods get paid?or compensated with free merch or something?

no, they don't get paid to moderate this site..... they do it on their own free will, and i think it takes quite a bit of anger management to do so. some people can get hot headed quick if you post the forum rules or quote something.

I think I remember Darth (though I am not sure so I am not quoting him on this) say that they get small fee. But it's about dedication and a love for the site (I hope :)
And let's face it, it takes a lot.

its similar but im suggesting stand in mods. not people who want to be permanent mods. kinda like when johhny carson had people guest host the tonight show. and i more thought of the idea for entertainment purposes. as i think alot of comedy would come out of it.like someone saying....
