What is the DVD? and what is the size that it's showing up as? Have you ran shrink on it? If whole disc doens't work then just reauthor or run it through Shirnk twice.

Whenever shrink gave me problems with "too much compression" I always just took out the foreign languages and sub titles and that usually gives you enough to write the disk. Even if you want a complete backup you really dont need the foreign laguages now do you? You plan on letting your cousin in sudan watch the movie?

I did stewie griffin the very first day it came out, it was easy. Nothing special. Why won't shirnk work. I used shirnk alone and it was able to take care of it. Have you unticked all the unwanted audio and subtitle streams? I just don't get what you mean by "support to compress"

Be sure to set the target size to 4300 in Shrink or you may burn to close to the edge of the disc resulting in errors.

I'd still like to know why you couldn't do it w/ Shrink. I want to know exactly what happened? I know it's not the DVD and what did you do right this time that you weren't doing last time.
Also you can set Shrink up to burn w/ decrypt right after encoding process.
Congrats on becoming a Senior Member Gwen, I just noticed. You deserved it before me. Guess that whole time diff held you back.

PunkPYRO ,
Go to the site below. There are guides there with pictures. Suggest you use the first one as that uses Freeware and costs you "$0.00". Just print it out and rip it, compress it and then burn it. Do it exactly like the guide states and you will not have a problem

Quote: Shrink wont support it to compress
What did you mean by that (above) is what I was asking. You saying it 'won't support to compress' I assumed that you meant Shrink won't open it or something. But now you say you compress fine??? Please just clerify for me. What did you mean by that. Obviously you couldn't compress it earlier or else you would/should have written "I can't burn" or something. So what did you do?
And exactly why can't you burn this compressed version. What is wrong w/ it? Or do you not know how to burn and am asking us to help you.
Here are some really good guides written by fasfrank, this one is for Shirnk's preferences:
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/tutorial002.html
And this one is a guide, step by step:
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/tutorial012.html
These will take a while if you have dial-up, but they're really good, interactive.

Alright, since you guys seem confused (understandable, I dont make much sense :P)so I will clarify; I have burned DVDs before using DVD Decrypter and shrink, on wensday actually, I read the DVD onto my computer using DVD Decrypter and compressed it using shrink, what I need now is how to burn the compressed movie onto a DVD-R.

PunkPYRO,
If you used Shrink then you can burn using Nero or DVDDecrypter and it depends on how you set it up to automatically burn. Do you have Nero. If not then you have to use DVDDecrypter to burn the image file Shrink automatically creates. There are 2 different ways to burn that DVD( file mode- vobs,.ifos and .bup files and then .Iso mode). If you read my comments about the guide then you would used DVDDecrypter to burn the image file Shrink created( .iso mode) or you could use Nero ( file mode)if it is installed.

You can enable auto burning w/ Decrypt too, here is what you do:
I don't use decrypt so that's why it's not there. But in this box scroll down until you get decrypt image burn. Select that and your done.
Just wondering, why aren't you ripping w/ shrink too. It makes thing so much easier.
