muffled sound on Madagascar

I just downloaded and used Anydvd 5.5.4.1 to rip Madagascar. It worked fine but the audio was muffled when played on my surround sound system. When I switched to 2 channel, the sound was fine! I put in the original,store bought disc, and...surprise.. the audio was the same, muffled on surround sound, fine on 2 channel. Could this problem be because of the new protection used on this movie? Could the protection have messed up the audio on the movie? Has anyone else run into this peculiar quirk??

Hmmm, you should return it and exchange for a new one. If the new one is the same write many letters & e-mails to Dreamworks & THX and tell them that the sound is muffled and not of the quality you expect from THX certified movies.
