Does rebuilding have any affect quality wise for a game?

I am reading on how to rebuild games but I see that the after product of rebuilding is that the games are half the size. WHy does this happen? I mean if some files aren't needed, why are they in there in the first place?
So does rebuilding affect quality?

Well I guess somebody stole the little babies juice box and now he's cranky. Rebuilding doesn't affect the quality of the game at all. In most cases it improves it. You need to rebuild games that are around 4.36-4.38GB's to work with Swap Magic. Here's a guide: 11. Q. How Do I rebuild games?

If you don't rebuild properly, as in screw up the file order and LBA, then you'll most likely have horrible load times and screwed up sound...just make sure you do it right if you're going to do it.

Well either way it was uncalled for. Even if it was a joke, it was in bad taste. I'm not hear to lecture you, but responses like that are driving way people who really want to help away from these forums. Upon rereading your post Cruz, I can see how that might've been a joke. The first response was far worse, but either way increasingly in these forums people are treating each other without any respect.
