Which program does a better job ? shink or recode

I know shink and recode came from the same programmer, but is one
better than the other Quality wise.

What are the differences between these two programs, other than one is free and the other is not.

I currantly use anydvd/shink/nero

Hi,
Dvd shrink can encode and remove CSS from your original dvd and by using Nero or DVD Decrypter to burn it into a dvd.
Recode from Nero cannot remove CSS from your original dvd disk.
CSS is a kind of protection that come with the original disk to prevent people from copying.
On the other hand, Nero recode can convert file that eg AVI or XviD file to dvd compliances file while DVD Shrink cant do it.

which software encodes better, shink or recode

css doesnt matter because i use anydvd

Hi,

I would prefer DVD Shrink because it has a special function for better quality under full back tab.
