Hey guys,

I have been searching for an answer to my question online before, and have stumbled upon this website, and it seems that there's lots of experts here, so maybe you guys can help me out.

I have recently downloaded True Crime: NYC from a torrent site (yeah, i know :( i have bought some original copies as well, but i really wanted to play this one, and it wasn't out yet...so.....ya know...:) and i'm pretty familiar with the whole ISO --> cue/bin format. However, on this particular download, I stumbled across the following files, after extracting the rar files:

MODULES (folder)
SLOGAN (folder)
INTRO.PSS
SLUS_211.06
TC2.ELF
SYSTEM
DATA.PAK <-- this file has about 3gigs

See, how would i go about burning this onto dvd for the ps2? I've opened other games on the computer to see if they have similar files, and some of them do, so at first, i thought i can just burn these files on nero directly onto a dvd, and it would run, but it didn't. Am i supposed to just burn these files into a bootable disc? or what should i do? I do not understand what to do with this .pak file in order to make it run on the ps2.

Did you extract rar files with WinRAR, or the iso file? It looks like you might've extracted the iso file. You might be able to burn it with CD/DVDGen: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/210515 This guide is for rebuilding, skip the parts about extracting the image to your hardrive, since you downloaded it.

thanx for your help. I've extracted the files using WinRAR, and i dont think i extracted the iso, since there was only one file to extract in the folder?

after looking at it, i believe you are correct, i think i extracted the iso file =(

is there a way for me to UNextract this ISO file? because i do not have the original file anymore =( please tell me there is a way.... =(

Normally you could burn the files to DVD with Nero using the UDF/ISO DVD option. However, since the Data.Pak file is 3 gigs, I don't know if this would be possible. Nero can't handle files over 2 gigs. You can try, but I don't think it'll work. If you can do that, you can use DVD Decrypter to create an iso from the burned DVD. If that doesn't work, there isn't any other way I know of to reconstruct an iso from the game files. You could rent the game and copy it, or just download it again.
