ok im going to put a crossover cable into the bac of my computer and the ethernet into my usb. i just bought a usb/ethernet adapter would they bridge connections

if you mean is that how you connect to your xbox then yes.
a cat5 cable (crossover cable) direct from the PC to xbox will do the trick. then you have to learn how to st it all up.

bunch of good tutorial on how to FTP and set it up. along with
setting up connection sharing which you will most likely also
have to do. It was a bit hard to understand for me at first, but i got a lot of help from them, plus if anyone is on the live chat feature located on the home page they may be able to talk you
through it

connect xbox to pc via usb/ethernet adapter and pc to router via port on back of pc then set it up
