Hi guys,

I Have ffmpegx installed on my mac ibook g4 ,i need to convert a avi file to a burnable dvd format,there are alot of options to choose from when you are asked what format to convert to,which one is best?

I am running toast 6.1.1,using dvd-r,but i also have dvd+r.

I Have all codecs installed so that part is ok,i have started encoding a file but it is taking forever,i dont want to wait for it to finish only for it not to work!

Also am i missing anything?do i need to use mac the ripper at all?

Any help would be appreciated as i am running out of paitence and dvd R's!
