Hello all, I have had SM 2.0 for some time now (since it was the latest version) and have used it without any problems to back up tons of my games. I recently got True Crime New York and when I booted it up, the intro movies played, but then it displays the PS2 screen about needing to insert a valid PS2 disc. My question is, should I upgrade to SM 3.6, which seems to be the newest version? Would that take care of my issue? Or is there something else with True Crime NY? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

PS - Just as a side note. I have no problem with the backing up process. Ripping, burning, etc. Never had an issue so far, so I think it must be something else.

Older versions of swap magic need patches or fixes,
for some games to work properly.

the fixes are cataloged here :

But YES the newest version 3.6 DOESNT require the fixes
and patches like the older versions do.

Yeah, I found the FAQ on this page (I'm stupid, should have read it first) and it mentioned that upgrading to SM 3.6 is probably a good idea. So I'll go ahead and do that and hope that solves the problem. Thanks.
