How do i work mods when i downloaded the modded maps and used ftp to tranfer it on my xbox how do i use the modded maps do i delete the old map and leave the modded map on?

i got a patch modded map it says patch besides it how do i patch the map so it can be modded....i got a modded map on turf it says super jump on move very fast and all kinds of stuff but when i play it starts the game up normally with no mods i cant overwrite the map because its not really a mod map it a patch so plz help me
