Hi I tried searching just a simple answer would suffice: I have an old skool version 1 PS2 and a fliptop. I have been out of the loop here and actually haven't played for about a year or so. Wanting to get back into it...
Will my DVD 2.0 SM work with the latest back-ups? What is superior about 3, or is it mostly for the slim PS2's?

The games I'm getting backed up at the moment are Ninja Turtles 3, SSX on tour, Resident Evil 4, X-men legends 2, Burnout revenge and Soul Calibur 3.
According to your links SSX on tour is listed as TOC and is the only one, so the other then should work with SM 2.0. Thnaks again for your help Jizmak!

thanks agin you guys!
hmcg: cool I woudn't have that of that! and theres enough things I want to spend my student loans on so it's not out of the question!
If I remember correctly the TOC is some file that it reads and newer games were having larger TOC's than the SM 2.0's TOC...where can I check game TOC sizes to find out which one's would work fine simply with SM 2.0?

Oh right so what I was getting at...

Those should work.
if not just use DVD loader, works like on a charm.
I recommend you buy the new ones and support swap magic,
That way they can create bigger and better versions.
Just my 2 cents.

And yes I will support SM and they're hard work as there are games I want and besides, plenty more to come b4 PS3 makes it here.
