Where's Flip218 at,
He needs to get the crease out of Creaky. My link doesn't promote the intent to gain a profit, and it doesn't link to direct downloads upon clicking it. The link is designed to help newbies, and reduce the amount of searching they have to do on here to get started. Then, they can revert back here for more involved methods of PS2 game duplications.

i'm not creased. but if you keep challenging me i'll develop a crease. i'm having your opinions re the rules (that you sent via PM), checked, ie as to whether you're correct or not, that's all. either way i'm just here to do a job, whether i'm right or wrong you don't bark at me on public forums, let's get that straight

@ gamer2000,
i have read the new updated rules,so it would be against the rules for me to comment on your sig, thats down to the mods on this site to sort out,
and being as you have been banned already once before...i wont add fuel to the fire, but links to other forums,i'd have to say is not in the best interests of AD
i am a mod on another site,of which i cant mention here,on these forums,so i suppose thats the way it goes

hi,
i just used DVD Decrypter to make a backup copy of my tekken 5. i first read it as ISO then wrote it as ISO. i did not rebuild the ISO. when i used it with my swap magic (version 3.6). i got error message "not a valid ps2 disc". i used a ritek DVD-R 4x speed. i burnt it at the lowest speed 1x.
can anyone tell me why this happened? is there any other way to make back up discs without rebuilding ISO?
thanx 4 ur kind help and support

rosylyn - Try it again , try to rebuild the full iso again, tell me what happens thanks
sulaim - Try doing it again BUT burning it at 2 to 4x speed. I burn mine at 2.5x and it works like a charm

Got some queries 3dluis:
Should I drag just the folders into CD/DVD-ROM Gen, or should I drag
the .ELF, SLES and SYSTEM files into CD/DVD-ROM Gen aswell?
I am curious to know a few things:
1) Why do files have to be dragged into
CD/DVD-ROM Gen in that specific order?
It seems to be in 'LBA' order, what is LBA?
2) How is the ISO rebuilt/compressed? Are some files deleted/compressed
by the software used?
3) What if a game has dummy files? Will this method take care of that?
I'm not a Junior... it just looks that way. :)

Lol Triple Post lol.
Quote: Should I drag just the folders into CD/DVD-ROM Gen, or should I drag

You should drag all the files you see in ISO Buster in the same order to Dvd/cd generator
1) Why do files have to be dragged into
CD/DVD-ROM Gen in that specific order?
It seems to be in 'LBA' order, what is LBA?
Because the ps2 will recognise that the ps2 game is in that order, LBA means Logical Block Addressing
2) How is the ISO rebuilt/compressed? Are some files deleted/compressed
by the software used?
Simply, when you rebuild, in will reduce the toc size of the disc and will make the iso smaller
3) What if a game has dummy files? Will this method take care of that?
Proabally, it work for Smackdown vs Raw 2006 and apparently that has dummy files

Thanks. Sorry about the multiple posts. Second time it's happened in the AfterDawn Forums, doesn't really happen on other websites. Maybe my PC doesn't like it here. :)
I was actually curious to know how TOC size is reduced. I also enjoy finding out these things and it helps me be 'creative' and improvise if I come across problems.

i rebuilded my iso for tekken 5. when i tried burning it with DVD Decrypter, i got I/O Error twice. once at 35% on my DVD+R disc and once at 52% on DVD-R disc. so i added them to my collection of coasters.
can u tell y this occured? and is there anyway to resolve it without losing a disc?
btw, i was not multi-tasking
thanx a lot.

right i know im prob acting a bit thick here but im very new to copying ps2 games.I have managed succesfully to copy 8 games using neros and using the swapmagic.I have 1 game sonic heroes that has given me quite a few coasters lol.Alot of people have saidto just take the dummy file out and rename it with a txt file but that hasnt worked. Some people have said use apache and some said use sony dvd gen so i downloaded both but i really do not know how to rebuild the game using them.I have also got an iso2iml program and a program that makes dummy files. If i extract sonic heroes with apache then delete the dummy file and add the smaller dummy file thats made into a bin would that work or have i got everything wrong. If some1 could explain things in a simple way for me i would be very greatfull thanx
