Hi, I know this is a noob question but I need help anyway. I recently downloaded a game (Beatmania IIDX RED) from a torrent site and I expected it to come in a .iso file, but it did not. It came in files such as "Modules" "DATA1" "DATA2" "SLPM_664.26" and "System". What do these files mean? Is it a PS2 disk rip or something and how do I burn them on a DVD to make them work on my swap magic PS2? (I already tried the method on this thread.) I am currently using a SlimLine PS2.

Hi there ! I´ve got some problems rebuilding Battlefront II.
1. Is it important to use DVD-R ? I used DVD+R three times and failed.
2. I cannot extract all the files from the iso in isobuster, isobuster just makes a file called track.tao something. In the guide you say that u have to mark all files and extract them, but i cant mark them at all... instead isobuster extracts it into the one file.
3. When i tried to burn with Nero it said "u can´t burn in UDF/ISO because the size is to big" (in my words) please use UDF to burn.
Did i understand it right that all this is so difficult because some games are double layer DVDs ?
Sorry for bad english and thanks for all answers !!!!

hi you need to use a program called expert. it will rebuild game automatic for you and make a new iso to burn with DVD Decrypter. 2. http://www.alucard.cc/ps2/ExPERT_v1.03.rar
Download it and then follow these instrcutions and it will work.
1. select Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins list.
2. Select the iso.
3. Click extract LBA
4. Click extract file
5. Click rebuild file
6. Click rebuild lba.
Make sure you do it in that order.
This worked for me when every other way failed.
It is very easy to do so even the noobies should be able to do it.
Keep in mind im backing up the PAL version, but if your having trouble backing up with NTSC then i dont see a problem trying.
Good luck.

Is it possible to add a dummy file to a game that doesn't already have one? I've already shurnk a few games, but that turns out to be a huge strain on my PS2's laser. I figure using dummy files on games to fill them out to the max size limit could help with load times and crashes. Anyway, any help is appreciated.

I used to have that problem too. I just used Force ASPI and installed all the drivers. After that I didn't have a problem with it ever again. Also what S73VIE say's is true as well, but so far for me and others it's just been the ASPI drivers. Hope this helps a little bit.

HY! For some reason I can´t find CD/DVD ROM Gen. The link http://home.versatel.nl/joeriroels/Download/cdgen_15.rar didn´t work for me. Please, I need that program or give me similiar program. Thanks!
Oh sorry, it works now. Couldn´t download with Mozilla:)
But now I have another problem. I am trying to burn ps1 game Star Ocean.
I have file Star Ocean Second Story.bin. I extract it with Isobuster and get files SCES_021.59, SO2.bin and SYSTEM.CNF. I drag them to CD/DVD ROM Gen in the same order. But when I push record, error appears saying that too short location length (less than 600000 sector). Can someone help me please! Thanks!

This is pathetic, I don't understand why people rely on other servers for the download link to work. It makes sense to upload this else where on a server where you know that will keep the download link 24/7
Anyway I am trying to look for CD/DVD GEN any ideas where I can downlaod this from as the other link redirects to 404 ?

Also for the harddrive, the only thing i know on how to boot those games is with HDLoader, but you could get a copied one and boot it with Swap magic if you want, Or you can buy the orginal press disc maybe on ebay. Try searching on google just to make sure :D
I am also having the black and white problem with Swap Magic. However, Ive tried switching NTSC and PAL on all my backups in Swap Magic but they are still in B&W. No idea what to do - does anyone here?
