1) I know I need Swap Magic but why do I need a fliptop or the other things mentioned?
2) What's the newest version of Swap Magic (my PS2 is v7)

your ps2 cant know you put in a backup. Thats why you need one of the other accessories, so you don't need to use the eject button. http://www.consloesource.com is where i bought mine.
http://www.clearxbox.com is where I bought mine Swapmagic 3.6 is the latest ver.. I would suggest getting a fliptop to go with your PS2 but you can also use a slide card $24 for Swapmagic/Slide Card combo at Clearxbox.com
how would it be diffrent if you switch from the swapmagic cd to your backed up cd with or without the fliptop.. how would your ps2 not know.. i don't understand, please explain this to me.
