Hi,
I was taught to use decrypter and shrink together. Why do you have to do that? I just found out today that shrink rips off the encryption, so why is it so common to use both programs together?
Is shrink as good or better than like dvdfab, dvd2one, anydvd, and do all these programs pull of the encyrption?
So what programs pull encryption, is there a list of the good ones?
What does clonedvd do for you that the others don't?
I read that one program will give you the opportunity to just put in a dvd and walk away while it burns? Does anyone know about that and does it strip encyrption and then copy it, can you set it to take out trailers, etc? I don't remember the program.
Thanks for all the help.

There are few dvds that shrink's decrypter cannot handle, and even fewer DVDD cannot. I do both because I don't want to play trial and error all day with my dvds. Shrink can handle some hard encryptions but after a process of blanking stuff out. Also by using decrypter to copy to harddrive.. you could hit the 1-click encode and burn button (with shrink) and walk away. (Unless you have two dvd-roms.. then you don't need to do all that)
Shrink and Decrypter will not be updated anymore by the makers.
AnyDVD, DVDFab Decrypter, and DVD43 are a few decrypters only. CloneDVD and DVD2One are encoders. (kinda like DVD Shrink without the ripper.) DVD-Rebuilder is the best in quality..in my opinion. (although it could be a 4+hr process)
CloneDVD can skip, and I think, blank trailers.

Vobblanker is a good free program that can blank and cut dvd videos. Easy to use but I guess you'll have to get used to it.
