I'm having a problem with this movie. I ripped with Fab no problem but when opened in shrink the main movie starts at chapter 21 and is a small file while there is a huge unreferenced file (VTS1) that it says cannot be shrunk. If I go to reauthor and add main movie it says "invalid DVD navigation structure". What did they do to stop me and how can I bypass, I'm going on a trip for Thanksgiving and hate to run an original dvd in the portable.

I'm not sure what you're doing wrong with DVDFab because it should work. Try AnyDVD. It has a free 21 day trial and will also work. Run it in the background and use DVD Shrink like normal.

So your saying the rip is the problem and not any type of encryption. Has anyone successfully shrunk Stealth? If so what method.

CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD WILL do the movie fine thats your best bet,heres a guide to use the program.

if you try to do just the main movie you will have a problem upon playback...all i did was set the start frame at 4 seconds into the movie...that will solve your problem.

I used DVDFab Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background,then Shrink to compress and burn with DVDD..........

What do you do if AnyDVD isn't picking up your DVD drive?

AnyDVD just appears as a fox in the task tray. It does not pick up your drive, at least not so I can tell on my system. What you should see though is after you start anyDVD and the fox is in the task tray, you put the DVD into the DVD drive wait a couple of seconds and you should see the fox head go pale and then return to Red. Anydvd has just done its job and you are ready to use your ripper.

Does this make sense?

CloneDVD or Decrypter will recognise the drive.

If you right click on the fox's head and select settings and go to the tab that says "DRIVE" it should show your drive there...

This solution isn't working for me, I'll step you through what I've done.

-Installed AnyDVD 5.5.5.1
-Restarted
-Inserted Disk
-Decrypted using DVD Fab Decryptor
-Selected open files in DVD Shrink

I got this error message:
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Invalid data in file C:\temp\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB

Any ideas? The movie btw is Shine: Platinum Edition

Appreciate any help.
