Ok I have moded 10 xbox's successfully with the soft mod method I barely got a PS2 and since After Dawn is such a good site I would like to start my PlayStation moding know how here. So the first thing I want to know is how to copy games, also what do I need for moding a ps2 with out a chip, and I also had a question about swap disk, do you just need the cd or a chip inside and do I have to make it have a flip up top? Thanks for the help.

As for modding without a chip, i'd say there are no "real" softmods, the only thing close to it would be Memory card exploits, Read all about those on : http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=faq
keep in mind though, that the Exploits don't work on the new slimline ps2's, only on the older "fat" models.

As for your question about swapmagic, you don't have to install a fliptop, you could also make a slidecard (use the forum search to find info on it)and use that.
