Hi all
New to the forums, long story short..... just got PC finally got TV eps, films etc sorted. Now trying PS2 stuff.
D/L`d the above.
Now got
RAR file.
Used winrar and got and whole bunch of files.
DBCMAN.IRX
IOPRP300
IOPSOUND.IRX
LIBSD.IRX
SIO2D.IRX
SIO2MAN.IRX
SLUS_291.71
SYSTEM
Any idea what I do with these now ?

That .rar file was most likely the .Iso,your supopsed to burn that to a DVD.

when I 1st downloaded it I got 1 rar file, when I extracted that I got another rar file, extracting that got all that stuff I listed.
so your saying burn the 2nd rar file to disc (using Nero ?)

ok.......... when I used Nero it recognised the 2nd extracted rar file as an iso.
burning now, will let you know if it works :)

will the PS2 recognise an ISO RAR file ?

didnt work
the ps2 recognises it as a PS2 disc but looks everytime you click on the gold disc (PS2 disc symbol)
Any help ?

Do you have Swap Magic or a Mod Chip,you cant just stick a burned game in the PS2 and expect it to play.

apols, got a messiah 2 in it. Been on the scene for around 4 years just never tried downloading my own games before. (always got them elsewhere)

Oh.
Dump Nero and try using DVD Decrypter to burn the .Iso,burn at 4x on a 8x DVD-R(+R will work to if you have a newer PS2)

It doesn't make a difference in most case whether you burn with DVD Decrypter or Nero...but you could give it a try.
What will make the difference is for you to turn off all other programs, including the internet connection and possibly the virus scanner... as they could interfere with the burning process.
You have to use good quality discs, most prefer DVD-R 8x from a manufacturer such as Taiyo yuden, Ritek, TDK, Maxell, verbatim... and burn at 4x.

Oh, by the way..there's no such thing as an iso rar file... it's just an iso and it shows up as a rar icon because your computer has been told that that program is to open iso files.
Had a long thread trying to explain that to someone yesterday after they had the same thing..and he kept telling me that there wasn't an iso file after he extracted from the rar files.. just another rar file called ********.iso LOL
Anyway, hope it works for you

thanks for the answers.
I`ll try nero again at 1 speed with everything shut down.
Using ARITA 4 speeds. All my games are on these disks so I know they work

Can someone confirm the following
Downloaded a RAR file.
Run it through WinRAR and get another RAR file.
When I burn a "data DVD" using Nero is sees it as an ISO
Burn this file as slow as poss and it should work !
