i found out the other day i dont know if anybody knows this but i have a ps2 v9 model 50001 i have a fliptop case on it. i use a code breaker disc(ps1) store bought of course and when i go to start game without codes it says insert disc i lift up the top on the flip top while the disc is spinning i take it out quickly and put in my ps1 back-up lets say like tekken 3 and close the lid and push X all in about 4 secs time. the games boot flawlessly 100% sound and video no skipping. also make sure your ps2 driver on ps1 is set to cd speed smooth or slow and not fast otherwise the games skip. but the media i have used that the ps2 reads on ps1 backups is staples, memorex, maxell,sony,verbatim,optimuim,jvc,fujifilm,tdk,durabrand(walmart brand)all these backups play 100% on my ps2 im sure if i use the same cd-r brands on copying ps2 games would work the same as well. but im getting the swap magic 3.6 discs soon. so we shall see as soon as i copy them on those brands i will let you guys know. i thought this might be of some help. for some ps2 newbies who want to play some ps1 games on ps2.

Not really, you could just buy breaker pro, that does the trick, and is a lot less of a hassle.

well i have a flip top case which is easy to swap ps1 discs with. i just have a store bought disc of code breaker.must be the latest one i couldnt find a version on it. every copied game that i burnt with Nero and fireburner works 100%.it could be my ps2 v9 i dont know but im having a good time and i thought i would share this info to everybody. heres the detailed in fo once again try it if you have a code breaker disc and not a game shark.(gs) doesnt work.

open your flip top put in code breaker.
close the flip top
turn on ps2
start game without codes
says insert disc
flip up the top case while disc is spinning grab disc out fast and put in your back up
quickly close flip top
then push x (within 4 secs)
wait like 10 sec for game to boot up some boot faster then others.

i dont know. try it. im only telling people from what i just expereieneced that the code breaker disc works. im spreading the word just in case people have never tried yet.
