Can you please help me out..maybe chat with me and help me do it correctly cause its driving me nuts..any help would be greatly appreciated cause Ive tried everything and its still not working

Get AnyDVD 5.5.5.1 at http://www.slysoft.com and download it. Free 21 day trial.
Run it in the background. Put in the DVD Madagascar and allow AnyDVD a few second to work its magic.
Now open your ripping program and rip and burn as usual. If this does not work there is some other issue at hand, and we will need your burn log and system specs.

Hi there,
I saw several threads that people were able to rip the movie only, but with AnyDVD v5.5.5.1 I guess people can now rip the whole disk ?

Major problems with this disc, so tried downloding AnyDVD and CloneDVD, trial version 21 days........disc worked perfectly, no hiccups at all, guess which programs i will be buying in 21 days.
DVD decrypter, decrypted perfectly, but couldnt open files in shrink even with AnyDVD running, cyclic redundancy check at 36% in shrink if i went that way first, try the above programs from www.slysoft.com and you will be happy

try it this way with DVD Decrypter AND AnyDVD,
To use DVD Decrypter in conjunction with AnyDVD as stated by Olli ->
Proceed to the DVD Decrypter Opening Page - Tools - Settings
I/O Tab - Click on "Elby CDIO-Elaborate Bytes"
General Tab - un-check "Check For Structure Protection"

Download DVD43 from doom9.org it runs silently in the background. You download DVD43 insert Magagasgar and open DVD43 and it will go through facial expressions until it comes to a green happy face then open your DVDShrink and run it like you would usually do when burning your movies. Any other help let me know. Thanks

I just made a working copy of Madagascar using DVD Decrypter and VOB blanker all menus and even the penguin movie all work. First use DVD Decrypter then VOB blanker and run DVD Shrink and you will have a working copy.

I used DVD decryptor and then Nero recode as DVD Shrink would give me an error. Worked well but took a while.

when I use DVD Decrypter it stops doing it at VTS_08_02.VOB..how do you make yours continue?

I dont remember having a problem with that. One thing I see is go into settings in DVD Decrypter, go to I/O and at options I have 20 checked on software read error retries and software write error retries. If this was set at 0 on yours this could be a problem. I am using version 3.5.4.0 . Another thing, I have a DVD rom drive and a burner drive. Sometimes my burner reads better than my rom drive. If you have multiple drives try both. Maybe you could uninstall DVD Decrypter and reinstall it. If that works it would be well worth the time. Hope that helps.

yeah my DVD Decrypter has the same settings that you have..it just wont burn..and when it gets to that number it just stops and its gettig very frustrating..how some said they were able to do this with CloneDVD while I have had no luck using that program at all..

As i said earlier, clone dvd and AnyDVD worked its magic, but you only take the movie, not the extras otherwise it wont work, i found that out. I am trying someone elses suggestion of using VOB Blanker, then DVD Shrink then Nero to burn, it has just started burning now, so will see how this goes at getting the whole disc, otherwise i suppose i will be happy with just the movie.

maybe you can walk me through CloneDVD with just the DVD itself cause I have no clue..I made sure it was only english and the directors cuts were gone but Im not sure if I just did the movie or other stuff too..DVD Fab doesnt work by the way..maybe my burner is just a pile of crap

okay, to copy it i clicked on dvd titles, and didnt change a thing, just left the movie ticked, this was the first time i had ever used the program but it worked for me fine.....believe me i am no expert but i try different things until they work, have not been defeated yet, :)

I think I have to buy a new external burner..this one I have is a pile of crap..hardly opens at all and when it does the disk gets stuck..who knows, the stupid burner might be the cause of all of this..Ive had this thing for over a year..maybe its time to get a new one

you may find that that could be the cause of your issues, as trying numerous programs something will work sooner or later. Mt DVD drive was playing up badly the other week, took my machine apart and took the drive out and cleaned it up, the root of my problem was cat fur from a long haired himalyan cat who insists on sleeping on my computer.....good luck try different programs and something will work

I am trying something differently now..I am trying to use DVD Fab with my DVD Rom drive and burning to the hard drive that way..at least it would actually be on the computer..if there is truely nothing wrong with the dvd or I am doing everything right..then this will work cause I am not using my crappy burner at all..will keep you all posted

Ok even on my dvd rom drive it still freezes up at the _08 mark so the burner had nothing to do with it..oh well..looks like I wont be burning this movie after all..not much of a national tragedy, Ive already seen the movie in theatres..not a big loss

i will be buying Madagascar next Monday and from what i read in the countless threads about this movie, DVDFab Decrypter (http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm) breezes thru this one, so on Monday i expect to be posting a reply of success to this thread...

Ok so far so good..I am at 53 percent through DVD Decrypter..I did what that person told me to do..do go to IFO mode and remove 2,3,4 and 5 from VTS_08 so what I did is I went to each one and unchecked it(the cells) so I will let you all know what happens..I believe 2-5 are the ones that are copy protected and might have caused all of this hassle..after this is all finished..I will need a rundown of what to do next..Thanks everyone!

Simple :
Download & Install AnyDVD 5.5.5.1
Then DVDShrink 3.2.0.15 to Rip & Burn
Problem Solved!
Total Time approx. 16min.
x8 DVD-R
Anyone who says otherwise works for "Dreamworks"
