If i have a pc with a wireless online signal(i dont have a router though i share a signal with a friend in a apartment) so all i have in my apartment is the pc with wireless pci card. Can i some how network throug the pc to get the internet on my ps2? Dont really know to much about this any help is fine. Any suggestions?
I might be able to help, I have pretty good skills in networking, however, communicating what to do may be an issue lol.
Firstly I am thinking your computer network is setup as;
Apartment Internet
+Apartment Wireless Router
++Your PC Wireless Card
With probuably DHCP setup (automatically assigns your network configuration).
If you want to, go ahead and PM me with an email and we can chat that way otherwise if you do not mind giving system/network configs over the internet we can keep posting here. I doubt on this forum though we would have problems with giving info over this.
It will help if I know what version of windows you are using, but not neccessary. Also if your computer has a LAN Card along with the wireless pci card. Lastly if your PS2 is somewhat close to your computer in the apartment.
With this infomation I can help you setup Internet Connection Sharing (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;234815) through your PC for your PS2. By using this method though you would be required to have your PC turned on whenever you wanted to connect your PS2 to online.

I am on my lunch break at the moment and looked over your postings. I will go ahead and try to make up a detailed way to hook up ICS on your computer to give your PS2 internet access. Basically in the end you will be hooked up as in;
Aprt Inet > Aprt Rtr > Your Wireless > Your PC > Your LAN > Your PS2
The details should be very close to what you will have to do since I also am running my laptop with wireless to my router (in since to your apartments) with also an available LAN port.
After work I will try to get some pics made up and post or PM you the address with the details.
