Ok. ive made some movies that worked and some that did not and I want to get it right with the programs i am using so that i dont waste anymore money, time, and disk. Problems ive been having were when i was watching a movie and the movie freezing and such. Aight..

I use DVD decrypter to get ride of the encryption (for some dvd's as I can read). This process is taking me 15 to 20 minutes to burn to an ISO.

Ok, next I open shrink to reduce the movie to that it fits to a regular disk. I put it at 4300 and performing a deep analysis with max smoothness. Should this process take 3 hours?? If i didnt perform deep analysis and put it on sharp will this greatly reduce the time??

Next I put a disk in and hit the setting on shrink so that it will burn with decrypter right away. Shoud decrypter be already open or will it open the program automatically?

Everyone has mention running something in the background. what does this do and when should I do this?

Help me please AD people

This can depend on your system. The most common cause of slow process is that the system has reverted to PIO mode instead of DMA mode.
Make sure that your DMA is enabled. Visit the web link in my Signature for BBMAYO's and there is a guide on how to enable DMA.

Some DVD's have a special encryption on them that dvdDecrypter and DVDShrink will not handle so that means that you need an alternate method of cracking the encryption to make the backup of your DVD.

Running the program AnyDVD in the background does exactly that. It then allows you to use DVDdecrypter and DVDShrink for your backup process.

There are other programs out there that do the same thing, but I personally have not found one that I like better than AnyDVD.

If you have set Shrink to burn with decrypter, decrypter will open and burn your disc once shrink has finished its thing.

Search the threads here at AD and you will learn all kinds of information.

Hope this helps.
